Childcare Programs

Livonia Public Schools offers childcare services for ages 6 weeks to 5 years for working parents.

• Childcare programs for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old
• Childcare will be offered Monday - Friday for families
• School Year and summer hours will be 7 a.m to 5:30 p.m. 
• Open year-round
• Occasional scheduled days with no care due to LPS district calendar
  • Calendars are provided to families in advance

*Part-time Childcare is not available

We are proud to share the preschool and childcare offerings for the 2026–2027 school year at the Livonia Early Childhood Center. After conducting a detailed review and market analysis of preschool programs in the area, it was determined that tuition rates at the Livonia Early Childhood Center are considerably lower than programs in neighboring school districts as well as private programs.  Over the last several years at Jackson and since at the ECC, there have been only modest increases in tuition.  

At this time preschool and childcare rates will be increasing to align with our high quality, valued programming. Through this, we will be able to continue to attract and retain the very best, highly qualified staff for our youngest learners.
