Childcare Programs

Livonia Public Schools offers childcare services for ages 6 weeks to 5 years for working parents. With the opening of the new Livonia Public Schools Early Childhood Center (located on Newburgh Road, just north of Six Mile), LPS is excited to announce some program adjustments for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. 

  • Childcare programs for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old
  • Childcare programs with preschool components 
  • Childcare will continue to be offered Monday - Friday for families
  • School Year hours (starting 2024-25) will be 7 a.m to 5:30 p.m. 
  • Summer hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m
  • Open year-round
  • Occasional scheduled days with no care due to LPS district calendar
    • Calendars are provided to families in advance

*Part-time Childcare is not available

 

New Eary Childhood Center

The new Livonia Public Schools Early Childhood Center will open August 2024 and will house LPS childcare and preschool programs.

How to Register

Registration Information

  • Registration is completed online using our automated online billing and registration program
  • Enrolled families will also utilize our online payment system
  • Non-Refundable Registration Fee:
    • $100 Registration fee for the first child registered
    • $65 Registration fee for each additional child registered
    • First tuition payment is due at registration

Registration links will go live at 6 AM on the following dates: 

  • Childcare - Returning Families: March 12, 2024 
  • Childcare - LPS Staff - March 13, 2024
  • Childcare - New Families - March 15, 2024
  • Summer Childcare - All Returning Families: March 12
