Early Childhood Special Education

Early Childhood Special Education Program (ECP)

A play- and- language-based education program for children between the age of 3 and 5 years with a diagnosed disability. Through a comprehensive team approach, the Early Childhood Special Education Program provides services needed to prepare children with disabilities to enter and succeed in school. Children with cognitive, emotional, speech, or physical developmental delays may attend.

Program Overview

  • Attends Monday-Thursday
  • AM Session attends 9:15-11:45 (Three year old classes)
  • PM Session attends 12:45-3:45 (Four year old classes)
  • Students receive speech therapy, and occupational therapy and/or physical therapy if needed during their school day
  • Students participate in story time, center time, playtime, sensory activities, motor activities, snack time, etc. throughout the school day
  • Bussing is available for students to and from their home, or parent pick up and drop off in designated lines outside the building
